I work in a variety of media, including painting, photography, installation art, land art, video and audio art.

I see the world through the illusory aesthetics of disappearing, which I try to capture at least for a moment. I explore memory because I want to feel the materiality of time, to touch its presence in the current moment. I am interested in creating spaces that immerse the viewer in metaphysical worlds filled with various signs and images.

I use wax, sandpaper, rust, ash, metal, feathers, glass. Each of these materials  for me is filled by a sacred meaning and mythology for me.

In the large series of works of art “In Memoriam”, which continues to this day, I explore the phenomenon of memory and the processes that take place in it. I am interested in studying how our individual memory relates to the collective, and how memory affects our identity. Starting from the definition of memory in Plato and the ancient Greeks to modern ways of understanding it – philosophical, historical, psychological and pseudo-documentary, using figurative means, I study various aspects of memory, which are imaginary sections of my Book of Genesis (Oblivion). I compose short essays for each chapter of this book, reminiscent of parables that evoke certain images of memory.

For me memory is closely related to time, its scarcity and  disproportionate acceleration in the modern world. I look for objects of time and memory, actively involving society in this process. For example, the participatory project of finding different objects associated with time in other people has given me impetus to an in-depth study of memory and archive problems.

In addition, I frequently refer in my work is the topic of awareness of our own body and its physical limitations and the role of women in society, such as “Immovable physicality”, “Secret”, “Game” etc.

I’m interested in environmental issues research creating specific socio-environmental projects. For example, in a series of works related to the Bortnychy aeration station, I explore the problems of ecology that have led to the formation of a man-made habitat that has a negative impact on the environment.

I reflect on a wide range of topics that allow us to consider certain phenomena from different points of view. This creates multi-layered images, which acquire additional meaning through interaction with the audience.
